Lingerie Briefs Take on Curve NY

NYC Lingerie 2025 Spring/Summer Show: My Take

Just as I did in last week’s Swimwear recap, this season I’ve decided to combine the Curve and Evolution Lingerie show synopsis. Why? Because the insights are not different. The stories are the same. Borrowing from trend doyenne Jos Berry’s presentation at Curve NY, the current merchandising state is all about “Glimmers”, the feeling you get in your body when you feel inspired. I saw an uptick in shaping innovation, multi-colored embroideries, a plethora of stripes, shine and sparkle, endless transparency and most of all, joyful colors. Large florals dominated. Roses were blooming.  A plethora of blues and purples were prevalent with white lingerie rising to the surface in the USA. The yin and yang of lingerie was, as always, present. Exquisite lace underpinnings were side by side with comfort driven loungewear.

Skin

Innovation is alive and well as forward thinking brands continue to push boundaries. Skin lingerie’s laser focus on well-being and environmentally positive products has entranced me since the brand’s inception. This time it’s castor oil cups in organic cotton bras.

Sky Tights

There is not a great deal of new ideas in the market, but there are always outliers. I for one was actually energized when I met Sadio Briceno, Founder and CEO of Skytights. A 10-year (and still going) Delta flight attendant, she has developed a product that is technical as well as attractive. No wonder these lightweight multi nude shades of compression pantyhose for women who are on their feet all day as made Skytights and on-line star. I for one felt the “glimmer” of creation.

And without a doubt, the bra companies have stepped up their game with new design concepts on the horizon.
