Snapshots of Curve New York!

Curve New York offered up an interesting and engaging range of established favourites and international brands alongside the hottest new talent in town. As well as offering a showcase for AW2025 there was a special initiative ‘Lingerie Briefs x Purple Strong’  where Chicago based boudoir photographer, Jacob Miller of Purple Boudoir (himself a survivor of domestic violence), worked with Lingerie Briefs to create powerful imagery working with domestic violence/abuse survivors and several brands at the Show. The display highlighted that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been physically abused by an intimate partner.
One of the show highlights was the exclusive fashion show at the Hard Rock Hotel featuring 17 standout brands in a VIP only event with a night of champagne, hors d’oeuvres and networking (Brands featured were Anita, Chantelle Pulp, Chantelle X, Costabella, Dita von Teese, Elomi, Lascana, Leonisa, Lise Charmel, MeUndies, Montelle, Natori, Oh la la Cheri, Rosa Faia, Simone Perele, Aubade, Noblesse Oblige and Skarlett Blue).
Object of Desire

A special area within the show for contemporary brands, curated alongside Curve by Igor Pacemski-Jones. This is intended to be developed as an integral part of the main show with a one-stop shop for the discerning high-end fashion buyers.

Designed to display an edit of brands that might otherwise fall off the buyers’ radar. Brands showing in this area included Scandale, Mila Krasna, Ms A London, Noblesse Oblige, Jessica Russell Flint and Culture Tree Designs. This special area in the show was well attended by both buyers and press with unbiased advice given to buyers on the brands displayed.

Noblesse Oblige has had a particularly strong season this year internationally and achieved orders from independent shops attending.

Culture Tree Designs set up by Judith Gaffney, inspired by colour and colour therapy to raise the mood – in swimsuits and cover-ups. With vivacious colour palettes and cover-ups fashioned from material scraps from their clothing line, it is very sustainable. Judith’s motto is ‘”f you dream it I will seam it!”  as she makes fully customisable garments for her retail customers.

Jessica Russell Flint specialises in unique prints in her high end luxury pjs, robes, sleepwear and resortwear. This was the debut show for the British brand and they reported good attendance and interest from buyers.

Mila Krasna Bodywear, made in Slovenia and Croatia using Italian fabrics. Lingerie and swimwear with an 80’s/90’s dance and sports aesthetic. The brand did open new accounts at Curve and were happy to be in the Objects of Desire section.
Ms A London met a wish list of American boutiques! An overwhelming response to the collection and the sizing possibilities. Every store has this customer and the ones that visited and picked up the brand are keen to continue to build safe spaces for the Transfeminine community. Orders were placed for later in 2025 so a real success at the New York debut.
Show dates for next season are 3-5 August 2025.
